Then your blue badge guide will guide you around the sights of Bristol from the comfort of your coach, discuss the narrative of the Slave Trade and Bristol’s Maritime Connections, you will take a drive across the Clifton Suspension Bridge, before ending your day at M Shed, a vibrant museum located on Bristol’s historic harbourside, dedicated to telling the story of the city and its people. Board the coach for a day to Tintern Abbey and the Forest of Dean with cream tea on a steam train
Board the coach in the morning with your Blue Badge Guide for the day, giving informative commentary to keep you entertained.
First cross the magnificent River Severn by bridge where you will start your tour with an included tour of Tintern Abbey in Monmouthshire. Tintern Abbey is a national icon — still standing in roofless splendour on the banks of the River Wye nearly 500 years since its tragic fall from grace. The Abbey surrendered in the first round of the dissolution of the monasteries — and the great abbey began slowly to turn into a majestic ruin.
Your day continues around the majestic Forest of Dean. Where England meets Wales, separated by the meandering River Wye, you’ll discover a place of timeless beauty and untamed nature. Pause for a moment at the many breathtaking viewpoints, and explore iconic ruins and unique attractions.
End you day at the Forest of Dean Railway – on a Steam Train with Cream Tea included! The round trip on the 4.5 mile line runs through beautiful woodland and countryside, offering a chance to
experience the relaxing pace of a typical country branch line in the Wye Valley.
Please Note: Extra Nights and Coach Trips Out are an extra cost and are not included in the main package.
